Did you know there are over 30,000 children in DFW
who might not receive anything for Christmas?

Many families in our community can’t afford Christmas presents for their kids. Mission Arlington’s Christmas Store provides gifts that parents and children can give each other at no cost. But, there is always a greater need.

For kids, bicycles are some of the most-requested and most-needed items. Many need them just to take themselves and their siblings to school. Mission Arlington never has enough bicycles, and can never have too many.

Bikes for Mission Arlington helps children experience the love of Jesus through the blessing of a bicycle.

Since 2007, Bikes has donated more than 16,000 bicycles to local families via Mission Arlington. Though the size and scope have changed, one thing remains the same: the emphasis on “one bike, one child”.

With just a child’s bicycle and helmet, you and your family can bless a child this Christmas.

How to Get Involved

Bikes for Mission Arlington is a fun and easy way for you and your family to bless the less fortunate this Christmas.
It’s also a great way to teach your children how to put “faith into works” (James 2:26).

1. Buy a bike and helmet.

Buy a new child's bike and helmet (or bring like-new ones) for a boy or girl.

2. Join us on Bike Day.

Meet us in the Pantego Christian Academy parking lot and join in a police escort to Mission Arlington to deliver the bikes.

3. Bless a child with a bike.

Unload your bike at Mission Arlington, knowing a boy or girl will feel Christ's love this Christmas. There are also opportunities to deliver bikes to apartment complexes.

Please note that Bikes for Mission Arlington can only accept new or like-new bicycles.
If your bike is in need of repair, please contact Mission Arlington about donating it for repair.

The Importance of Bikes

Listen to Tillie Burgin, Executive Director of Mission Arlington/Mission Metroplex, speak about the great need for bikes every Christmas and the great impact they have on children and their families.

Bikes for Mission Arlington is proud to be one of the many organizations that helps Mission Arlington/Mission Metroplex fulfill its mission of serving God and loving His people.

Our Why

Every child wants to experience the love and joy that comes from unwrapping presents on Christmas morning. But there are many families in our community that can’t afford gifts for their kids. No child deserves to feel left out.

Bikes for Mission Arlington believes that every child should experience the love of Jesus through the gift of a bicycle for Christmas. We know that families struggling to make ends meet can’t afford bikes for their kids. Since 2007, we’ve donated over 16,000 bicycles to local families via Mission Arlington—that’s 16,000 young lives touched through the generosity of people like you.

If you’d like to give a child a bike this Christmas, here’s all you need to do:
1. Buy a child’s bike and helmet.
2. Join us on Bike Day.
3. Bless a child with a bike for Christmas.

Bring yourself, your family, and a bike and join us on December 10 at 9:00 in the Pantego Christian Academy parking lot. If you can’t make it or would rather give financially, your donation can help us buy a bike for a child.

Please help a child and their family experience the love of Jesus through the blessing of a bike this Christmas.
